Come one, come all, bring us your stories, poems, comedies, songs, and eclectic ramblings – we want to hear it all! We were born four years ago as a literary open mic, and we love our guest musicians and every other kind of creative. Our only restrictions are: an eight minute time limit, and original material only.
The Student Hotel is a stunning location with twinkling lights, comfortable seats, and nearby bars and stalls to fill up on food and drink. And remember, entry is always free.

September 17: Hosted by the event founders Marisa Garreffa and Lee Foust. Featuring the book launch of our favourite author Baret Magarian with his collection of short fiction, Melting Pot. He’ll be in conversation with journalist, writer, and critic Jamie Mackay. The launch begins at 20.00, right before the open mic, and then the talent continues with the microphone open from 21.00.
